While it seems like the Apostle Paul has said just about everything he could say on the topic of grace vs. the law, he doubles back at the beginning of chapter 3 and tries a new tact. His goal is to convince the Galatians that even proper Jewish theology is centered around belief and not the law. This is a superb reminder to modern-day Christians - that our faith in God is credited to us as "righteousness" and not our ability to follow the "rules" of Old Testament law.
